is there any later model moters that will hook up in this truck and still use the same bell houseing and trans with out a lot of trouble?

NO, but you should be able to find a later Ford engine and bell housing that will bolt to the trans. Mount system may differ.

If you want to use a ford FE engine, 330-352-360-390, go to a used truck salvage yard and get the following parts. A bellhousing, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate, front timing cover and front mount, from a LIGHT DUTY 330 ford truck engine. This will make it a bolt in swap, and the exhaust will be east to fabricate. |
