Wow - it"s been a long time for since I"ve dealt with a "W" block Chev. The only things that come to mind is that the cylinders are at an angle to the deck, requiring a wedge deck plate to bore them, and the cranks don"t interchange. Tremendous torque, and long-lived if you don"t run them at too high RPM too often. Good luck! |

I have over hauled some years ago.
Just what is it you want to know?
I still know of some around.
I need a head for a 348 Hypo. |

For what it's worth, Edelbrock has recently come out with an aluminum Performer series cylinder head for the 348-409 engines....oughta wake 'em right up and save some front end weight too. |
