Mechanical parts are pretty much available at NAPA, CarQuest, and most of the reputable auto parts suppliers...but better look for a counterperson who knows how to use a parts book, because if it ain't Ford or Chevy, it probably won't be on computer catalog prior to 1966 models or so. Body parts aren't available anywhere new, for any price. Even though IH used this cab from the 1950 L-series through the large R- and V-series trucks thru 1968, apparently nobody makes replacement sheet metal. S-series fenders, grilles, hoods, and headlight bezels are unique to S-series, '56-'57 only.

What it's worth pretty much always comes own to whether you're buying or selling.

And for production numbers, pick up a copy of the Fred Crismon book [commonly known in IH circles as "the gray book"] on IH trucks; if production numbers are available anywhere, they'll be in there.
