Along with my misfiring problems I also have an issue with the distributor being frozen in place. I cant tell if it's rust or some other "sealant" but I cant get it to turn for hell, even with the locking bolt completely removed. Any suggestion's?

Spray it with P'Blaster, Kroil or Liquid Wrench for about a week ahead of time. Get the engine good and hot, then hit the distributor with something cold like a shot from a fire extinguisher or propane. (Years ago it was freon) You need to get the area of the distributor by the block good and cold. Tap the thing with a rubber mallot and try to turn it again. If nothing works, engine disassembly may be required to remove it by pushing from the bottom side.

This may sound dumb but do you have firing order correct as Y block firing order is not same as other ford engines. I run a 63 F100 with 292 for 35 years

All good ideas. I think I would also consider gripping the distributor body with a strap wrench to try to turn it, after having given some time for the penetrating oil to work. If I couldn't break the distributor loose with the strap wrench, I would try a pipe wrench, however the pipe wrench would probably mar the distributor body and might even break it off. Good luck!
