I just bought a 41 dodge power wagon military and I need to find the VIN number and can,t. Help

See responce to F-5 serial below.
THERE IS NO VIN SYSTEM NUMBERS ON VEHICLES BEFORE ABOUT 1970 YEAR MODEL.

In those years the engine serial number was the only number available. If the engine was changed, well . . . . . .

Early Dodge trucks had serial numbers the serial number was usually on a plate one thd door post early trucks had them on the right later it was moved to the left. see links below

Thanks, on my title they used the engine numbers but the engine has been replace with a newer engine.So the DMV will have to figure it out. Thanks you guys have been a big help.

I guess it depends where you live but here in NJ the dmv does not help you figure anything out . So with that thought you could just take the simple road and use the number you have on the title or search the frame and find the serial number and bring a tracing and a photo with you.
