I have a 71 shortbed fleetside. I only have the vin and no other codes. Is there a way I can find out the original color, model and so on from the vin number only? I purchased this truck in the middle of restoration and the vin is the only info I have. |

Like Richard said, the sticker with the codes and options etc.. would be on the inside of the glove box. If you are lucky you might find a build sheet tucked in the springs of the seat. It has been known to happen. I found one in mine but it was so brittle and old it crumbled as I tried to remove it. Check both bottom and lean back areas. |
