Can anyone recommend an aftermarket carb for a 1980 Ford F-700 with a 429 4V?

What is the problem with the current one?
Does the current one have a governor?

If it doesn't have a governor hooked up to it, I've really enjoyed m Edelbrock Performer carb, really easy to set up and use. Used to have a Holley and it leaked no matter what.
