Mornin" I bought a puller and none of the bolts are correct for the steering wheel. My "vast" assortment of bolts ain"t wright sew i kan,t phigur out watt ciz eye kneed. Anyone got a clue, as I don"t other than appears coarse thread and most likely not metric that vintage. Got"s ta get the wheel off in order to get at the cause of no horn/turn signal cancel. Thanks in advance for any input. Called yesterday about the where=abouts of a collector plate as current plate has June expiration, told it was mailed 09/09/09. Wow, yup, we need the gov"t. in charge of our organs, good grief.

your local auto parts store should be able to loan/rent you a puller designed just for steering wheels - good luck!

you don"t need a puller to remove a ford steering wheel... i"ve pulled hundreds over the years and never used a puller...loosen the nut until even with shaft..put both knees under steering wheel pushing up..set brass hammer on shaft and strike brass hammer with a heavy ball pein... never had it fail and no damage either...

I had issues with my '67 when I got it. Over the years, people had used all different assortment of bolts to use a puller on. But on my brother in law's 70 F100, 2 of the bolts that came with the steering wheel puller fit no problem.
