Seems to be the time for old Republics; I assume you"ve contacted K Eric N below re" any luck he"s had...
Mroz says Alma Motor Truck Co was formed in 1913 and produced a Model B 1Ton, with a Cont engine, Schebler carb, Eisemann ign and Covert trans, and didn"t become Republic Motor Truck Co until 1914...
However, Auto Qtly"s 1975 index says Alma was formed 1911 as Alma Mfg Co, not becoming Alma Motor Truck Co until 1913, that Alma "...took over Hercules truck (1913 only? no prod?) and changed name to Republic...".
And there"s a pic of a 1912 Republic in some museum online (Google).
None of my stuff goes back that far, but these (Alma, Hercules and Republic) were all "assembled" trucks; hopefully someone will have a specs book that covers it.
Republic became part of LaFrance-Republic, which became Ward LaFrance, the fire eqpmt mfr, which died in 1993 or so.
It might not hurt to post on the fire truck sites (alfowners? spaamfa?) for other Republic owners, as well as atca and aths (and everywhere else you can think of). Good luck
