I am going to change the oil in my B-61 in the next couple of days.I live in Texas and was wondering would it be best to use Straight 30wt.or 40wt.THANKS ALWAYS FOR THE HELP. STEVE. |

i have run rotella 15w-40 in my big diesels for many years, never a oil related problem, straight weight oil will make that old mack a real chore to start in cold weather , |

one of the reasons that engines last longer these days is multiviscosity oil. in the old days everyone thought your oil or grease should be as thick as a rope. trouble was that the bearings never got lubed untill the oil warmed up. this goes for engine oil and tranny and rearend grease as well. |
