What is a good rotary tiller for a JD 5410 (65 PTO hp)?

I don't plan to 'til more than an acre.

Are the Woods tillers a good brand?

It all depends on if you have stones or other trash! If you do, go with Howard or Kuhn and size the tiller "properly" to your tractor. Lowest priced tiller that is of decent quality is Maschio...

If you absolutely know there's no trash or rocks (doubtful) then a Woods or Bush hog may last a while...

I could fill this page listing all of the trash i've hit while rototilling!

Jim,
I've had good tilling from a King Kutter bought from TSC. I've had it for 6 years and it's hit some rocks and some very hard soil. It's gear driven and slip-clutch protected. I pull it with a 49 HP tractor.
