I have a 2001 case ih cx70.It was intermittently blowing the 3pth fuse,now it
is as soon as you put it in.It seemed to happen
after the hand brake was applied and the range
shifter was in gear.I have checked for bare
wiring and bad connections from the module
to the sensors and 3pth controls(all electronic)
Is anyone familiar with these tractors? |

Take the dash out. where the wiring harness goes down over the brackets that hold the steering motor it will have a bare place worn in the harness. Tie it up with zip ties, no more problems. If that doesn't work on yours, hook a two amp charger with a breaker in it to where the fuse goes. move wires til you find it. the breaker in the charger will keep from burning wires up, yet still have electricity to find a short. You can also check for a warm wire and trace it to the short.
