N.I.,
I've been all over the internet with Google and I dson't know the best one to buy either. I may look at the local JD house. I am going to check Craig's List and EBAY. |

nathanirvin, I sure wish you had been posting about buying s agricat, R.O.C.(Republic of China) tractor.
I would have told you TO RUN, RUN, RUN, away fast. Do not buy thus piece of junk tractor.
My tirades on these crap tractors are legendary!!
They are Poorly put together, need hugh amounts of work, will not stay together, Most will have to be salvage out at 300 hrs.
I had the misfortune to put some of the first hrs on a Agricat 254 It was right at 2 yrs old and had 25 hrs on it. right out of the gate the hydrolic pump blew a seal and too 3 weeks to get out of China on a slow sailing Sanpan. The 3 point is either all the way up or all the way down No intermediate positions I ran the tractor to 120 hrs with waaayyy les than satisfactory results, Since then the tractors ownere hace had it apart twice, the engine and bell houseing bolts will not stay tight, clutch will have to be replaced shortly yes split for a 3rd time. We have had to weld up some of the 4x4 cast parts on the front hub assemblys.
If all you are going to do is pull a 5 ft or so shredder and move some loose soil or manure then it may work ok. I advise you to haul this piece of shi$$ back, for it will do nothing but cost you more money than if you had bought a better tractor from a Real company with real parts and service. Hope this helps, My # is 512-577-3837 if you would want to visit.
Later,
John A. |
