|
|
I have a Ford 9030 bidirectional tractor. I am having problems with the fuel system. The fuel is going through the water separator but will not go back to the second bleeder or any further then that. I was hoping that someone else would have some fresh ideas on what might be wrong and what I may be able to do to fix it. Thanks… |

I"m not familiar with the details of your tractor but it sounds like there is an obstruction in the fuel delivery. Starting at the tank, do you have a lift pump to deliver fuel to the injector pump? If you do, is it operating? If it is then it should be able to deliver fuel to the inlet of the first filter or water separator and eventually the injector pump.Check that by opening the inlet tube to the first filter or the water separator and try a start. Do you have fuel? If not can you hear the pump running? If not, the pump or it"s power supply is the problem.
Are you filters clear so they"ll pass fuel? Open the outlet of each filter and see if you have fuel delivery through them when you try to start. If you don"t replace the filter that won"t pass the flow. Open every joint between the filter and the injection pump and make sure that fuel is flowing at that joint to supply the injector pump.( be sure to tighten the connections tighly.) If it is then, bleed the injectors til you have nothing but fuel coming through the fittings. It should start.
If you don"t have a lift pump go through the same process accept check the flow at the tank outlet and then check the filters, etc clear through to the injector pump as before.
Hope this helps. |
